“Take your product to the next level – Sales and Production”

Wednesday, November 5,  2014  from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m.

A networking opportunity and workshop presentations for producers of fruits and vegetables and locally raised meats. The morning session will focus on sales to stores, restaurants, grocery chains and large food purchasing organizations for all producers. Afternoon sessions are focused on meat production. Come for one session, or for all!
The workshop will be held at the Southern Maryland Electric Cooperative (SMECO) auditorium at: 15035 Burnt Store Rd, Hughesville, MD 20637.$15 Registration includes lunch. Deadline for registration – October 27, 2014


The next meeting of the Food Council will be on November 18, 2014. The meeting begins at 5 p.m. with an optional networking session at 4:30.

The Southern Maryland Food Council brings together diverse stakeholders to integrate critical aspects of the regional food system in order to sustain and enhance the environmental, economic, social and nutritional health and sustainability of Southern Maryland.

Any interested member of the community is welcome to attend SMFC meetings [including committee meetings], to participate in ongoing projects, to join in general discussions and to bring ideas before the Council.
